Highlight of the week

Green Business Roundtable is holding a talk by Stephanie Weber titled “Why the Alphabet Soup of Forest Management Matters to You" at noon Wednesday (April 12) at the Powerhouse Science Center, 1295 Camino del Rio.

In May 2021, Weber became executive director of the San Juan Mountains Association. She is a seasoned nonprofit professional who, as the executive director of Durango Nature Studies, catalyzed SJMA’s merger with Durango Nature Studies in 2020. As a Colorado native who lived in Durango during her teenage years, she has deep ties to Southwest Colorado and our public lands.

The cost to register is $20. Register at sanjuancitizens.org. There is a limited walk-in list. The cost for a walk-in is $25.
