Downtown Durango’s Balloon Glow will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (weather permitting) Friday and Saturday in the 500 block of Main Avenue in front of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Depot.
Spectators should arrive around 6 p.m. to see the balloons inflate. The glow will begin around 6:30, weather and wind permitting. Visitors will be able to get up close to see the pilots in action, bring your camera for the glowing balloons. There will also be “candlesticks,” which are the balloon basket and burners, without the balloon. Pilots will let children get in the basket and pull the burner.
