If Singing with Santa kicked off the holiday season, this Friday’s Noel Night sets it in high gear.

Durango’s annual Noel Night will take place all day Friday, and includes live music, art exhibits and, of course, local shopping.

According to Local First, Noel Night began in 2002 as a response to the Missionary Ridge Fire and the effects it had on local, independent businesses. Every year, Noel Night highlights local retailers and restaurants during the holiday season, and reminds residents how rewarding it can be to shop locally year-round.
