Salute our veterans on Thursday
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4031 in Durango is coordinating participation in the Veterans Day parade set for 11 a.m. Thursday.
Participants will gather at Main Avenue and Fifth Street before the parade starts at 11 a.m.
The parade will end at Main Avenue and 12th Street. Entry forms can be picked up at the VFW, 1550 Main Ave.
Along with the parade, Mountain Middle School students will help toll the Animas Museum bell in honor of World War I vets at 11 a.m., and after the parade on Main Avenue, the VFW will host an open house at noon.
