Durango Fall Blaze Bicycle Celebration will return to in-person events Sept. 25 with new rides for road, mountain bike and gravel riders.
Rides will start at the clock tower on the Fort Lewis College campus. Riders will finish back at the clock tower for a post-ride celebration with live music, food and local brews.
While the spirit of the FLC cycling program spins around fun, the racing team boasts 24 national championship titles in USA Collegiate Cycling Division I disciplines, featuring some of the top young cyclists in the country. The Fall Blaze is one of the most important fundraising events for the Skyhawks cycling program.
All net funds from the event go directly to cycling scholarships and team operations. Registration for the event opens May 22. Early bird pricing is $75 before July 1 and regular pricing is $85. Riders will have fully stocked aid stations along all routes as well as post-ride food and local beer.
