Durango Financial Planning’s Ken Duncan, CFP, announces Destiny John as the newest addition to the firm as an administrative intern.
John comes to Durango Financial Planning having recently obtained a bachelor’s degree in financial planning from the University of Utah in May.
While attending the University of Utah, she collaborated with other University of Utah Financial Planning Association members to win the FPA Utah-Idaho Chapter’s annual cup challenge in spring 2024. This competition hosted financial planning students from across Utah and Idaho to apply their knowledge and create a detailed comprehensive financial plan for hypothetical clients.
In addition, John has also volunteered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in which she worked alongside other volunteers to provide free tax preparation services to eligible taxpayers in the Salt Lake City and surrounding communities.
