Durango Friends of the Arts will host a gourd bowl-making class from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Holt Sheet Metal, 220 Skyland Drive.
Create a unique gourd bowl using alcohol ink and wool dobbers. Learn how to weave/sew pine needles around the rim of the bowl using waxed linen. No previous experience needed.
Classes are limited to 10 people. Cost is $40. Lunch and drinks will be included.
Register by sending a check made out to DFA to Rani Holt, 250 Morning Glory Lane, Durango, CO 81303. A materials fee of $20 is due at the time of the class.
