Durango girls crowdfund diving camp

They’re just starting out in their sport, but the members of the Durango Diving Club are determined to make it to the state championships.

The divers – Lexie Behn, Kylie Behn, Tess Burgwald, Ruby Epstein and Claudia Luthy – plan to attend the weeklong TriSynerG diving camp in Bloomington, Indiana, during the summer. They are crowdfunding their travel expenses and to pay for the coaches clinic for their coach, Mark Fleming.

The club will train with top coaches and be able to use top-notch training equipment and work on individual goals, such as learning new dives.

The teens – at least those who are old enough – are members of the Durango High School Swim and Dive team in the winter, coached by Fleming with assistant coach Sue Lawton.
