The Durango High School girls lacrosse team will have to wait a few days to play its next game, as Monday evening’s doubleheader against Roaring Fork of Carbondale and Aspen High School was postponed due to snow in Aspen.
No makeup date has been announced.
DHS will have its home opener against Steamboat Springs at 5 p.m. Friday.
BHS also announced changes to its spring calendar, the athletic department announced on Monday. The girls soccer home opener against Pagosa Springs scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed to Thursday, May 2nd. The Wolverines also changed the location of Saturday’s match against Manitou Springs, which was also supposed to be held at Wolverine Country Stadium. It has been moved to Manitou Springs due to poor field conditions. Kickoff is still scheduled for 11 a.m.
The Ignacio girls soccer team also had to postpone its season-opening match against Montezuma-Cortez, originally set for Tuesday, due to a conflicting band and choir concert that evening. No makeup date has been announced. The Bobcats’ season-opener will be against Crested Butte at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
