For a few years now, I have been amazed at the incredible artwork that is displayed on various buildings throughout Durango. I have no idea who had the concept to invite artists to paint scenes of various beautiful and interesting subjects. I don't know if the City Council made the decision to invite artists to join together to take on this project. I absolutely love seeing the various artistic talents on the sides of so many buildings. I especially respect the artwork that is located on the north side of the American Legion building on 2nd Avenue and 8th Street as it depicts our Native Americans and Armed Forces. What incredible artists were involved in these amazing projects!
