The Durango High School Scuba Club is holding a fundraiser in partnership with East by Southwest restaurant and Splashdown Diving and Travel Adventures.
From March 16 to March 18 net proceeds from meals with lionfish at East by Southwest will go to the scuba club. Lionfish have high concentrations of omega-3s – heart healthy fatty acids. Lionfish can also be harmful to native juvenile fish in the ocean, so reducing their numbers can help native populations.
