Durango hockey takes on Ice Wolves

Durango 12U B team goes 3-0 during weekend games

Durango’s youth 10U A, 12U B and 14U hockey teams traveled to Albuquerque over the weekend to play the New Mexico Ice Wolves.

The 12U B team went 3-0, outscoring the Wolves 15-7 over the weekend. Goalie Landon Quimby earned a shutout in Game 1. Preston Loughman earned both a hat trick and a playmaker award. Shea Morrissey also scored a hat trick while Colton Green, Jack Womack, Ruben Mullen and Brady Labossiere also scored goals. Assists were credited to Morrissey, Quimby, Benji Rice, Donnie Rome, Jody Holden and Gideon Bokelman.

The 10U A team went 2-1 but outscored the Wolves 10-4 in their games. Goalie Walker Green shut out the Wolves Game 2. Tyler Wood earned a hat trick, and Carter Lopez earned a playmaker. Parker Brown, Greyson Bickert and John Capsay also scored over the weekend with assists credited to Brown, Wood, Capsay, Brady Wright and Soren VanWinkle.

The 14U games turned into scrimmages because Durango was plagued by injuries and sickness.
