Durango Hot Springs releases concept video of improvements

The new owners of Durango Hot Springs and Resort released a video that shows big picture improvements for the grounds north of Durango.

The new owners of Durango Hot Springs and Resort have released a concept video that shows plans for improvements on the grounds, north of Durango.

Formerly known as Trimble Spa & Natural Hot Springs, three individuals – Bryan Yearout, Dan Carter and Kurt Carter – bought the resort, which had been for sale for years.

The new owners quickly announced planned improvements, including additional soaking pools, extended hours and other upgrades.

“We want to create a more resort feel,” Yearout said at the time. “We think (the resort is) a resource to this community that’s valuable and underutilized. This facility was on its last leg and needed to be upgraded.”

Last week, the resort put out a video that shows a conceptual design of what the new grounds could look like. Owners did not immediately return calls seeking comment Monday morning. Yearout said previously the first planned improvement would be to address the Olympic-size pool this spring.
