Maybe Drew Selser should get some varsity looks.
Durango High School’s junior varsity starter threw a no-hitter in the Demons’ win over Ignacio’s varsity baseball team Saturday.
DHS ended the game 12-0 after five innings because of the run rule.
Selser struck out eight Bobcats, walking just two. He also went 3-for-3 at the plate with one run batted in and a run scored.
Jake Bourdon also had a 3-for-3 day at the plate for DHS, scoring three times.
Juanito Medina took the loss for IHS (2-3). He went 1 1/3 innings, giving up seven runs on six hits with two walks.
Senior Iaasic Peña took over for him, pitching 1 2/3 innings and allowing four runs.
Austin McCaw finished the game for the Bobcats, giving up one run in his one inning pitched.
The Bobcats next take the field at 11 a.m. Friday in Center to face the Vikings.
