AARP Driver Safety will offer a driving course from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 22 at Durango/La Plata Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave.
The refresher course is for drivers 50 and older. Participants will learn current rules of the road; defensive driving; how to drive safely in challenging situations; and how to manage age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
Participants who complete the course may be eligible to receive an insurance discount and are encouraged to contact their insurance agent for more information.
Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers.
