The Durango Public Library has received a second grant to promote early literacy.

An $11,886 grant from the Colorado State Library will provide money to buy multiple copies of popular children’s books, library director Andy White said.

The availability of several copies lessens the wait time for popular tomes, White said.

The library received a little more than $12,000 last year and used it for the same purpose, White said.
