Durango library receives grant

The Durango Public Library recently announced that it received a $14,654 grant from the Colorado State Library through the State Grants to Libraries Act.

Proceeds go to youth collections, with a focus on early literacy and non-fiction.

The grant is funded by the Colorado State Legislature to help increase access to early literacy and educational materials, and gives funding to 316 public and academic libraries and school districts during the fiscal year.
