Durango Nature Center offers bird walk for dads

A mountain blue bird sits in the top a tree. The blue bird was spotted last year during the Thomas Preserve tour for the Ute Mountain Mesa Verde Birding Festival.

Durango Nature Center will host a Father’s Day Nesting Bird Walk from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17.

The workshop is $10 for nonmembers and free for members and kids younger than 12.

Workshop participants will receive free entry to the Nature Center for the remainder of the day and are encouraged to bring a picnic and binoculars.

To register, call Emily Schaefgen at (970) 749-1140 or email emily@durangonaturestudies.org
