Durango Nature Studies is recruiting volunteers to serve as naturalists for spring experiential education programs, which focus primarily on kindergarten and first-grade classes.
Programs take place at the Nature Center in April and May. The training program for volunteer naturalists is as follows:
6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Durango Nature Studies’ offices in the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave., for an introduction to programs and philosophies.8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday at the Nature Center, south of Durango. New naturalists shadow veteran naturalists who will lead a school group and run through lessons.8:30 a.m.-noon March 23 at the Nature Center to finish running through spring lessons.For more information, email Stephanie at stephanie@durangonaturestudies.org.
