Durango Nature Studies to hold naturalist/educator training

Durango Nature Studies will host a fall volunteer naturalist/educator training from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Durango Public Library and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9-10 at the Nature Center.

Participants can become fully qualified volunteer naturalists who will lead science-based hikes for second, third, fifth, and seventh grades. Although prior teaching experience is beneficial, it is not required.

Space is limited.
