Durango Nature Studies to host evening celebration

To cap off its 25th year and celebrate the holiday season, Durango Nature Studies will host a special evening at 6 p.m. Friday at the Nature Center.

Luminarias will light the way from the parking lot to the heart of the Nature Center, where guests will be greeted with a campfire, warm cider, cocoa and other treats. A special gift from Durango Daybreak Rotary will be available to elementary school children while supplies last. Naturalist Kiley Smith will lead guests on a hike under the waning moon.

RSVP directly to Smith at kiley@durangonaturestudies.org.

Upcoming full moon hikes are also scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 8 and March 7 at the Nordic Center, north of Durango.
