Durango Nature Studies to teach animal tracking

Durango Nature Studies will hold a snowshoe hike and animal tracking workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Haviland Lake, located 20 miles north of Durango off U.S. Highway 550.

Naturalist Grace Gordon will lead a snowshoe hike and teach participants about tracks, scat and animal homes.

The workshop is free for Durango Nature Studies members and kids younger than 12 and costs $10 for nonmembers. Snowshoe rentals will be available for $5.
