Dave McHenry, as an advocate for both homeowners and renters, deserves your vote for city council.
McHenry supports affordable housing through mixed-use development of North Main, and expansion of accessory dwelling units to more neighborhoods with reasonable protections, including owner occupancy.
McHenry would also like to ensure the safety of tenants through life-safety inspections of rental properties, or an adoption of a city habitability code.
A 38-year resident of Durango, McHenry gained considerable experience with infrastructure issues while serving as campus landscape architect at Fort Lewis College for 15 years.
Being one who’s willing to delve into the details, McHenry, as your city councilor, will be a big asset to the community as we chart a path of growth and development for the coming decades.
Most importantly, McHenry will not shirk the councilor’s duties of due diligence, accountability and loyalty to the citizens if eleted.
We as residents need McHenry, as he will be a well-informed decision maker, fiscally responsible, serving the community as a whole and not the special interests of a few.
