Durango Police Department to limit nonemergency services

Because of the local increase of COVID-19 infections, civilian employees with the Durango Police Department will begin working remotely.

This will limit these services:

  • Patrol officers will still respond to all calls for service, but calls may be handled via phone instead of in-person depending on the incident. DPD encourages citizens to report non-emergency incidents online at https://www.durangogov.org/422/Online-Police-Reporting.
  • Lobby hours are now from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The business phone will still be answered from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Property release will be by appointment only. Call 375-4748 to make an appointment.
