Victim treated for head, face injuries
Durango police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who assaulted another man about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at Main Avenue and east Ninth Street.
The victim, 31-year-old Lucas McCormick, was found at the scene unresponsive and unable to describe his assailant to officers.
McCormick was air-lifted to a hospital in Grand Junction for emergency care. He is receiving treatment for a possible head injury and facial fractures, according to a news release.
Witnesses described the assailant as a man wearing a “white or light-colored shirt.”
