Durango Public Library celebrating Library Week

Events to celebrate National Library Week will be held Tuesday through Thursday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.:

Tuesday, 9 a.m.: Tickets go on sale for the 2018 Literary Festival with Carl Bernstein, scheduled May 3.Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.: Maria’s Bookshop will present an event with Jonathan Thompson, author of River of Lost Souls: The Science, Politics and Greed Behind the Gold King Mine Disaster.Thursday, 6 p.m.: The library will hold an Indie Lense Pop-Up film screening of “Look and See: Wendell Berry’s Kentucky” – which shows writer and farmer Wendell Berry’s account of the changing landscapes and shifting values of rural America in the industrial agriculture era.For more information about special events or regularly scheduled programs, call 375-3380 or visit www.durangopubliclibrary.org.
