Durango Public Library gears up for summer reading

Summer reading programs for children, teens and adults will start June 2 and continue through July 28 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Programs include “Libraries Rock” for young children, a teen program for middle and high school students and an adult reading group that offers prizes.

Sunnyside and Fort Lewis Mesa elementary school libraries will also offer summer reading programs that start in June.

Summer reading programs are supported by the Friends of the Durango Public Library, Durango Parks and Recreation and Maria’s Bookshop.

Programs at the library are free and open to all.
