The RadioShack on Main Avenue in Durango is expected to remain open under different ownership.
RadioShack filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Thursday and announced the sale of half its stores to General Wireless.
A list of potential store closures on RadioShack’s corporate website did not list the Durango location.
The company, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has about 4,000 locations in the United States, including one in Durango. It also has more than 1,000 dealer franchise stores in 25 countries.
The manager at the Durango location, 1020 Main Ave., was unable to comment on whether the store would be closing.
Attempts to get comment from RadioShack Corp. were unsuccessful.
Standard General and Sprint plan to establish Sprint mini retail stores using up to 1,750 of the acquired U.S. stores.
