Longtime Durango resident Ruby Grannis celebrated her 101st birthday on Wednesday, July 26.
She and her husband, Stan, lived in Durango several times after they were married, and raised their children, Eddie and Stanley Jr., who attended Park Elementary School. The family moved to Pasadena, California, for work, and returned to Durango when Stan retired in the 1960s.
They loved living in Durango together, and were able to fish and spend time outdoors.
