Durango School District 9-R registration is now open for all students in all grade levels for the 2023-24 school year, including expanded hours for preschool.

Each elementary school will host a kindergarten open house. See the schedule by school with events from mid-March to early April at durangoschools.org. Families can also sign up for a kindergarten readiness screening event. There will be preschool office hours for registration at every school as well.
Preschool interest forms are now being accepted. Families are able to access 15 hours of tuition assistance for all 4-year-olds. To apply, visit the Colorado Department of Early Childhood website cdec.colorado.gov/colorado-universal-preschool. Space is limited in the preschool classrooms.
