Durango Shimmy Mob will host the fourth annual HAFLA in support of Alternative Horizons from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 28, 878 East Second Ave.
A HAFLA is a social gathering with music, dancing and food, and a Shimmy Mob is an international event that celebrates the art of belly dance while raising money and awareness for domestic violence programs around the world.
Alternative Horizons provides support and alternatives to survivors of domestic violence and their families while also striving to strengthen our community through education and prevention outreach.
