Durango Special Olympics would like to thank these groups and individuals for their financial and in-kind support of their donation campaign for their 2023 and 2024 sport seasons. The money raised paid for van rentals, gas, hotels and meals for competitions in Grand Junction and/or Denver, as well as, equipment, facility use and storage.
- $1,000 or more: Fort Lewis College Department of Health and Human Performance: free use of the Chuck and Betty Lamb Adaptive Exercise Lab for twice a week practices and two local tournaments; Knights of Columbus, Durango; and TBK Bank.
- $500 -$999: 4 Corners Community Bank; ARC of Southwest Colorado; St. Columba School: free gym use for twice a week practices before September 2023; Mile High Plumbing, Jamey Leonardi; and Bank of Colorado.
- $200-$499: Bank of the San Juans, Nell, Dieter and Ashley Paul, Kathleen Adams, and John, Mary, Brian Shafer.
- $100-$199: Brennan Oil, Court St. Anthony No. 1248 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Urban Market, Durango Diner and Margaret Fretwell.
- Under $100: Jenny Martinez, Gwen Lachelt, Julie Westendorf, Maureen Alden, Melinda Carter, Liza Tregillis, Alex Hanson, Bob and Cindy Whitney, Gordon South and Tiny Koehler.
We appreciate your continued support and thank you for all you have allowed us to do. Any groups or individuals who would like to contribute to Durango Special Olympics so they can fund their upcoming basketball (January-March) and volleyball (September-November) seasons may send their donations payable to Durango Special Olympics in care of: Cathy Simbeck, 2720 Mesa Ave., Durango, CO 81301. A thank you note and receipt from Special Olympics Colorado will be provided with a tax- deductible acknowledgment letter in accordance with IRS and state tax regulations.
