Durango to host national popular vote panel and town hall

The following events discussing the national popular vote will be held in Durango:

The Electoral College or the National Popular Vote Compact: What is right for our community? panel will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Lewis College, Center for Southwest Studies Lyceum Room 120.

Panelists will include Colorado State Senator Mike Foote – Boulder County, La Plata County Clerk Tiffany Parker and Dr. Benjamin Waddell (Fort Lewis Sociology).

A National Popular Vote Town Hall sponsored by League of Women Voters La Plata County will be held from 11:30 a.m. to p.m. Thursday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Colorado State Senator Mike Foote – Boulder County – legislative sponsor of the National Popular Vote bill SB 42, will discuss campaign to ensure every person’s vote for the presidency is equal.
