Durango to spray noxious weeds

The city of Durango contracted with Horizon Environmental Services to conduct noxious weed abatement through Aug. 3 at open spaces and parks.

Locations include: Cundiff Park, 360 South Camino del Rio; the open space in the 200 block of Parker Avenue, in Bodo Industrial Park; the open space in the 800 block of East Eighth Avenue; and an area in the 1300 block of Camino del Rio. Follow-up spot spraying will continue through August at these areas.

Herbicides include Milestone, Prescott and Tordon. Horizon Environmental Services is licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture and weed control is tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency.
