Durango Transit will be operating a special free shuttle service on the Fourth of July that will run every 20 minutes from the Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St., to the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave. The shuttle will start at 4 p.m. and the final shuttle will leave the Transit Center at 10 p.m.
Independence Day is a No Service Day for Durango Transit, so all other bus services will be suspended. The free shuttle is funded through the Durango Lodgers Tax, of which 20% is dedicated to the city’s transportation efforts.
