Durango Transit to offer free service for Snowdown Parade

The city of Durango has partnered with Snowdown, the Durango Business Improvement District and Ride Responsible to offer free, convenient downtown access to the Snowdown Parade via Durango Transit. The Main Avenue Trolley and all Durango loop routes will be free of charge Friday.

There will also be two free special service shuttles serving the north and south ends of Durango from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday.

The south shuttle will serve the transit stop in front of Mercy Regional Medical Center, as well as the corner of Confluence Avenue and Mercado Street in Three Springs about every 40 minutes, beginning at 3 p.m. The downtown drop-off location will be the Transit Center on Eighth Street. The final shuttle will depart the Transit Center at 9 p.m.

The north shuttle will run between the Transit Center and the La Plata County Fairgrounds about every 20 minutes beginning at 3 p.m. The final shuttle will depart the Transit Center at 9 p.m.
