The city of Durango is inviting residents to share their thoughts about how to improve multimodal transportation.
The fourth in a series of neighborhood meetings aimed at improving the way residents commute will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Folsom Park under the shelter.
The meetings are being held as part of the effort to update the city’s multimodal plan. Residents with ideas about how to make Durango’s transportation network more walkable, accessible and equitable are encouraged to attend.
“We’re going to take advantage of the nice weather while we still have it and have another open house-style meeting outside with interactive stations for community members to provide input about how to improve the city’s transportation network to make getting around Durango day-to-day easier and safer,” said Devin King, multimodal administrator.
Residents who are unable to attend can share ideas with the city through an interactive map on the city’s website that allows for input. When accessing the map, notes from residents and city officials about multimodal issues that have already been recognized can be viewed.
