Sepp Kuss’ big year didn’t end when the clock hit midnight on New Year’s Eve.
The 23-year-old professional road cyclist from Durango was featured on the cover of VeloNews for the January/February edition. Volume 47, No. 1 is on newsstands now for $5.99 and features a story, “The new science of climbing,” about Kuss’ rare ability compared to other riders such as Chris Case and Trevor Connor.
Kuss’ cover photo shows off his new racing kit, too, as he signed with Team LottoNL-Jumob based in the Netherlands after a strong 2017 campaign with Rally Cycling in North America.
Kuss’ tentative 2018 schedule also was released. Along with returns to the Tour of California, Colorado Classic and Tour of Utah, Kuss will race in Austria, China, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, including the UCI World Tour stop at the Critérium du Dauphiné in France, a famed eight-stage race.
