The lopsided defeat of last year’s city tax increase demonstrated the lack of trust residents have in city management and its decision-making processes.
With the upcoming election of two city councilors, we all have the opportunity to make sure our city gets back on track, especially as it applies to long-term financial planning and the running of some of its departments.
For this to be successful, I will be voting for Barbara Noseworthy and Kim Baxter. Both have impressive professional backgrounds and they have carefully studied city processes and decision-making. Talk with them personally and you will be impressed that these two individuals are willing to take on the challenging position of councilor.
