Durango’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado welcomes new board members

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado has announced their recent appointment of four new board members.

BBBS welcomes Caren Truske, owner and founder of Wisdom Way Living and Learning; Geno Trujillo, owner and general manager of TruWest Auto; Charles Peterson, financial advisor of Durango Wealth Management, LLC; and Chris Griffith, branch manager of Credit Union of Colorado.

All four new board members were drawn to work with BBBS for different reasons but share a common passion for BBBS’ mission and work. They understand the importance of a positive role model in a young person’s life. The mentors at BBBS change the lives of children for the better, forever.

BBBS provides one-to-one mentors for children facing adversity in their personal, social, and academic lives. BBBS provides a 100% free service to at-risk children who can benefit from a relationship with an adult mentor during their formative years.
