I often talk with tourists, and they almost always say nice things about our little town. I am quick to inform them that, although the scenery is breath-taking and the activities fun and interesting, the very best thing about Durango is the people who live here.

Once again that has been verified to me. Recently, my partner, Leo Meegan, left his wallet on a gas pump and drove away. Just hours later, I opened our door to a total stranger who told me he had found the wallet and had brought it to the address inside. The wallet contained a significant amount of money plus a credit card.
