Group offers field seminar about glacial geology
San Juan Mountains Association and certified interpretive guide MK Thompson will offer a hike to the Highland Mary Lakes near Silverton on Sept. 20.
Participants should come prepared to spend the day in the mountains. A carpool will leave from Durango at 7:30 a.m., or participants can meet at the trailhead about 9 a.m.
