Give to Chimney Rock on philanthropy day
The public is encouraged to donate to Chimney Rock Interpretive Association to preserve the programs at Chimney Rock National Monument on Colorado Gives Day, Dec. 8.
Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day, which is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in the state through online giving.
Donations can be made on or before Dec. 8 through www.ColoradoGives.org.
Without public support, the Chimney Rock association would be unable to provide the services that keep the interpretive programs at Chimney Rock National Monument an attraction for visitors.
CRIA is a nonprofit organization that runs the daily operations and interpretive program at the national monument in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the San Juan National Forest.
CRIA relies on tour fees, donations and grants and does not receive any federal funding for the daily operations.
