State cattle growers group seeks intern

The Colorado Independent Cattle Growers Association is looking for youths with a passion for the cattle industry to fill a paid internship position.

The Joel Franz Memorial Internship, open to those 18 and older as of June 1, offers a $1,000 endowment to the applicant chosen. It is an eight-week internship that runs through June and July and is comprised of work-from-home duties. Experience in press writing is desired but not a prerequisite. The intern will serve as a press liaison, event planner and membership advocate.

Youth corps appoints new board members

The Colorado Youth Corps Association has added four members to its board of directors.

Ron Hassel of Southwest Conservation Corps-Four Corners; Jason C. Corzine of The Trust for Public Land; John Hausdoerffer of Western State Colorado University; and Nancy Wilson of Mile High Youth Corps-Colorado Springs began their terms this month.

Also, the association renewed the board terms of Ken Brink of Colorado Parks and Wildlife; Joe Duda of the Colorado State Forest Service; Matt Hamilton of Aspen Skiing Co.; and John Swartout, consultant to the Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts.
