Durango Nature Studies offers campfire program

Durango Nature Studies will explore the history and importance of storytelling Saturday evening at the Durango Nature Center.

Anthony Reinert will lead a campfire program about storytelling in ancient and modern cultures around the world. The event is free for members and $10 for non-members.

Spruce Tree House to be featured in talk

Mesa Verde National Park will host a presentation by Donna Glowacki at 7 p.m. Friday at the Chapin Mesa Museum.

Glowacki will discuss how the Spruce Tree House cliff dwelling developed and changed during the 1200s.

The talk is part of the 2016 Four Corners Lecture Series.
