Two transported to Mercy as a precaution
The eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 160 near the intersection with County Road 501 in Bayfield reopened just after 6:35 p.m. Wednesday after closing at 6 p.m. because of a crash.
“It’s a two-car crash with minor injuries,” said Trooper Josh Lewis, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol at 6:10 p.m.
Capt. Adrian Driscoll of the Colorado State Patrol said the vehicles had both been towed, and two people were taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center as a precaution.
