I keep reading that Senator Gardner is trying to find more information about the latest Republican travesty – and potential tragedy – on health care.
Well, poor Cory. I guess he’s just a little overwhelmed, trying to find something – anything – that would make this more palatable to him and less damaging to our state, such as losing nearly $1 billion of federal support.
In the interests of helping this poor man out, here is a list of the organizations that oppose the legislation (and I probably don’t have all of them):
American Medical AssociationAmerican Hospital Association American Cancer SocietyAmerican Diabetes Association American Heart Association American Lung Association March of Dimes Does Senator Gardner think he – or Sen. Lindsey Graham or Sen. Bill Cassidy – has more insight into health care than these organizations, representing thousands of healthcare professionals?
Does he really know what he is voting for, since the Congressional Budget Office will be unable to score this bill until after next week, when the hurry-up vote is scheduled?
Gardner made similar noises before voting for every other disastrous Republican healthcare bill. Perhaps he will find his spine on this one, since it so directly and negatively impacts the people he represents.
Or perhaps he has disappeared too far into the pockets of the Koch brothers and other right-wing zealots to see the light of common sense?
Help is here: Vote this cynical, disastrous bill down, Senator.
