Know Your Dough program to visit BHS
Know Your Dough, Inc., a nonprofit that provides financial wellness programs for local youths and young adults will host a program at Bayfield High School for 11th-graders during the week of Dec. 7.
The program is linked to the Colorado Academic Standards for personal finances, which is included in state assessments.

Registration open for arts center camps
Registration is open for the Durango Arts Center’s Youth Arts Education Winter Semester, featuring 12 camps in the visual and performing arts for children ages 3 to 16.
The DAC Applause! performing arts program offers musical theater and acting camps from January through May. The camps offer children an opportunity to unleash their creativity and bring their imagination to life through movement, speech, storytelling and character development.
The center’s visual arts education department offers its School’s Out Winter camps, Girls Opportunity Through Art Leadership Camp, Boys Art Camp and its Art After School program.

Exchange program seeks representatives
World Heritage International Student Exchange Program is seeking representatives to work with volunteer host families and international exchange students in the community.
Students are 15 to 18 years of age, have passed a series of academic and character requirements.
Representatives recruit and screen prospective host families, supervise the exchange students in their community throughout the year and interview American students who wish to live and learn abroad.
Representatives are compensated based on the number of students they are supervising.

Hannah Robertson performs in concert
Hannah Robertson of Durango performed in the combined Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble concert at Cornell College on Nov. 13.
Robertson is a member of the Symphonic Band. The concert featured works by Kenneth Alford, Elliot Del Borgo, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Randy Newman and Paul Clark.

Student completes anti-bias training
Jenna Davies of Durango completed training to be a Common Ground facilitator at Fort Lewis College.
Common Ground is a network of facilitators trained in an anti-bias educational program that promotes cultural awareness and combats discrimination.
They accomplish this through education and awareness and by connecting students, faculty, staff members and community members in intercultural dialogue and introspective activities.
School of banking moves to FLC
Fort Lewis College will be the new home of the Western States School of Banking.
The move means the two-year banking management program will be held on campus each summer beginning in June 2016.
