Shane Bisogno named to dean’s list

Shane Bisogno, a Durango native, received academic honors from Arizona State University by making the university’s dean’s list for the Fall 2014 semester.

Undergraduate students who earn 12 or more graded semester hours during a semester in residence at ASU with a GPA of 3.50 or higher are eligible for the dean’s list.

A notation regarding dean’s list achievement will appear on the unofficial transcript.

Caitlin Simbeck named to dean’s list

The University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, announces Caitlin Simbeck of Durango has been appointed to the fall semester 2014 academic dean’s list.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Alyssa Swan named to dean’s list

Baylor University in Waco, Texas, announces Alyssa Nicole Swan of Durango has been named to the dean’s academic honor roll for the 2014 fall semester.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be an undergraduate with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7, while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

FLC students study abroad worldwide

These local students participated in study-abroad opportunities provided by the International Programs Office at Fort Lewis College:

Alexi Demos of Durango studied abroad at Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Ruthie Edd of Bayfield studied abroad at American University of Sharjah in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Edd also received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.

Jake Long of Durango studied abroad at University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic.

Somer Morris of Durango studied abroad at University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji.

Caleb Rael of Durango studied abroad at University of Basque in Vitoria, Spain.

Nicolas Thatcher of Pagosa Springs studied abroad at La Rochelle Business School in La Rochelle, France.

Christopher VanDyck of Durango studied abroad at University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan. VanDyck also received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.

Caitlin Whitten of Durango studied abroad at Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris.
