Submit paperwork, fees for DHS sports, activities
The Durango High School Activities Office will accept paperwork and participation fees to issue red cards from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 3-7 and Aug. 10-12 for fall sports.
Requirements to receive a red card for sport’s participation include: a completed physical/conduct form and completed medical consent form. The participation fee must be brought to the activities office. A red card allows athletes to try out and participate in DHS athletics. The deadline for receiving fall sports red cards is Aug. 12.
Fees for 9-R students are $100 for individuals, with an individual cap of $200 and a family cap of $300. Fees for non-9-R student are $150 for individuals, with an individual cap of $300 and a family cap of $450.
Athletes/participants should be prepared to pay the fee when they pick up their red/white card and students will not be eligible for participation until fees have been paid. However, family financial hardship should not be a barrier to participation. If assistance is needed, call Dave Preszler at 259-1630, ext. 2304.
